Structural Design is often overlooked in available metrics such as LEED, SPIRIT
and many Green Points programs. When thinking about sustainable projects, people primarily think of recycled materials such as fly ash and salvaged or
recycled materials. In addition to these options, Studio NYL concentrates on how
to design the structure to make better use of some of the insulating technologies available and employs strategies to reduce the amount of structural material required.
